Kingstowne is on the RISE! One of the main staples Kingstowne has to offer is it’s amazing Town Center. This Town Center is filled with great restaurants, stores, movie theaters, and office buildings. This is also the location of the First Top Golf facility in the United States. In addition this Town Center is just miles from shopping at the regional Springfield Mall, along with lots of “big box” shops that make shopping for anything and everything a piece of cake.
The entire community comprises numerous subdivisions containing apartments, condominiums, single-family homes, and townhomes. It began construction in the 1980s and is still expanding today[there are homes of just about any type and price range, appealing to first-time and move-up buyers alike. Many of these buildings and small neighborhoods have wonderful community centers/amenities such as pools, tennis courts and gyms.
This was a planned community amid the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Springfield, Alexandria, and Franconia, Virginia, and is centered on the intersection of South Van Dorn Street and Kingstowne Boulevard. Tucked between Franconia and Huntington.
Although, there are beautiful walking and biking paths throughout Kingstowne, the car is the primary way of getting around. The secondary roads are typically wide, divided parkways and the individual neighborhoods typically offer plenty of parking. Kingstowne enjoys the benefit of having major arteries like the Beltway and I-95 nearby without having them directly impact the community. As is the case with most of Fairfax County, the area is well-served by the bus system, and the Franconia-Springfield, Van Dorn and Huntington metro stops are each just minutes away.
Kingstowne continues to grow!
